The Late Shows 2009
Friday 15 and Saturday 16 May

The North East’s fantastic free culture crawl, The Late Shows, is back again for the third year running and this year it’s bigger, better and even longer! On Friday 15 May and Saturday 16 May, NewcastleGateshead’s cultural scene will be exploding into life as The Late Shows hit the streets for an entire weekend.
In celebration of the international event ‘Museums at Night’ (Venue Name) is staying up late with over 20 other cultural venues, usually closed in the evening. Come and join us after hours for a weekend packed full of interactive events and unique entertainment.
Free transport is available on the Saturday evening, making it easy for people to visit as many venues as possible during this not-to-be missed culture crawl.
The Late Shows form part of NewcastleGateshead's
world-class festivals and events programme developed by culture10 and is funded by Arts Council England, Newcastle City Council, Gateshead Council and North East England.

36 Lime Street will unlock its doors for the eagerly awaited annual Open Studios event on the 29th and 30th November. 36 Lime Street artists’ studios are only open to the public during this one weekend in the year.

Make Your Own Glass Brooch Delivered by Sue Woolhouse, 20 places available by drop in only (10 first hour, 10 second hour), suitable for adults and children. Sunday 30th, 14:00 - 16:00, at 36 Lime Street.
Festive Flyers Presented by PuppetShip CiC
Create your own eye-catching festive design and paint the sky with your dancing kite – They really fly!
40 places available (10 per hour session), suitable for children age 5+. Saturday 29th, 13:30 - 14:30 and 15:00 - 16:00, Sunday 30th 13:30 - 14:30 and 15:00 - 16:00, at 36 Lime Street.
Christmas Angels Presented by PuppetShip CiC
Peg up your cards or decorate your tree with your favourite festive character. Disguise a dolly peg as a Christmas Angel, reindeer or Santa's little helper! Then use it to make up a story or keep a Christmas wish for Santa.
48 places available (12 per hour session), suitable for children age 3 - 6. Saturday 29th, 10:30 - 11:30 and 12:00 - 13:00, Sunday 30th 10:30 - 11:30 and 12:00 - 13:00, at 36 Lime Street.

The North East’s fantastic free culture crawl, The Late Shows is back for the second year running and this year promises to be bigger than ever! On Saturday 17 May, Newcastle and Gateshead will come alive with culture as The Late Shows hit the streets once again.
In celebration of the international event ‘Museums at Night’ a number of cultural venues, usually closed in the evening, are staying up late for one night only. These popular venues are opening their doors after hours, to bring you a spectacular evening packed with unique events and entertainment.
Visit the new exhibition space at 36 Lime Street, showcasing original work by the biggest studio group in the North-East including art, ceramics, jewellery, sculpture, design, furniture and contemporary craft.

From the 10th of December - 10th of January Musa will be showcasing the work of regional artist Louise Bradley, in a solo exhibition at Format Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne.
