The North East’s fantastic free culture crawl, The Late Shows is back for the second year running and this year promises to be bigger than ever! On Saturday 17 May, Newcastle and Gateshead will come alive with culture as The Late Shows hit the streets once again.

In celebration of the international event ‘Museums at Night’ a number of cultural venues, usually closed in the evening, are staying up late for one night only. These popular venues are opening their doors after hours, to bring you a spectacular evening packed with unique events and entertainment.

Visit the new exhibition space at 36 Lime Street, showcasing original work by the biggest studio group in the North-East including art, ceramics, jewellery, sculpture, design, furniture and contemporary craft.

36 Lime Street will open the doors to its new gallery on Saturday 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd December, 12 - 4pm.

This is a fantastic opportunity to view new work by 36 Lime Street's varied base of members, discuss commissions and have a look at our lovely new gallery space.

36 Lime Street Open Studios Weekend

36 Lime Street will unlock its doors for the eagerly awaited annual Open Studios event on 24th and 25th November 2007.

36 Lime Street studios houses an eclectic mix of creative businesses. The open weekend provides the public with a unique opportunity to buy and commission work from over 40 of the most accomplished artists, designers and makers in the region. The work ranges from furniture to jewellery, paintings to puppets, sculpture to design, and ceramics.

Due to the increased interest in the Ouseburn Valley, this well received annual event is more popular every year, and is an excellent opportunity to buy unique presents, try out new activities, or just find out more about artists and creative businesses.
